Resolution Post

I hope everyone had a classy New Years! Carver and I sure did with our sparkling grape juice (ON SALE FOR $1.98!!! SCORE). It really was a sweet night. We watched the ball drop in New York, made fun of Justin Beiber's coat (I mean really, did he buy that in the women's section at forever 21?), laughed our bootays off at LMFAO's performance and fans, and we were mildly impressed by Will.I.am's performance (it was pretty cool, if you haven't seen it, you should try to find it, because I can't). Indigo woke up exactly at 12:05, we kissed her on the head and told her happy new years. I wouldn't have had that night be any other way. I'm so blessed. I'm so lucky. I'm so classy (refer to picture above).

Those of you who know me know that I'm kind of obsessed with rabbits. =.
AND OF COURSE, 2011 was the year of the rabbit.
It's hilarious how excited I was about Indigo being born in the year of the bun buns...
Anyways, out with the glorious rabbit year and into the year of the Dragon...(I'm not too fond of those bad boys--I prefer unicorns).

I can't wait to see what happens this year. I KNOW IT'S GOING TO BE AWESOME.

Some things I'd like to see happen this year (in other words, my kind of resolutions):

*Start an Etsy shop with Karla. Selling crocheted lovelies, handmade awesomeness, and other goodies.

*Workout (cliche I know). I'm happy to report that I did 25 minutes of P90X today (LOLOLOL)

*Blog at least three times a week (already failing)

*Make myself presentable everyday and change out of my PJ's, even if I stay home all day long. (Again, already failing).

*Finish what I start. HOLY SMOKES, I'm the worst about starting 4324 projects at one time and never finishing).

*Sew a dress for myself. (I got a sewing machine for Christmas. MUST PUT TO GOOD USE.)

*Figure out what career path I'd like to go down. Graphic design? Web design? IDK REALLY

*Be a really awesome Mom who doesn't spend all of her time on the computer. I spend way too much time on le interweb. I need to spend time with baby more often, she's growing so fast.

Did you guys set any awesome resolutions? Any memorable New Year's moments?
HAPPY 2012 GUYSSSSSSSSSS!

Autumn Nostalgia

tumblr

Autumn is the best season of the year.
I don't like summer, I like to layer my clothes. Hooray for cardigans.
It's kind of ridiculous how excited I am for Halloween with Indigo (now that I actually have a reason to 'celebrate' it again).
I've been struggling with deciding on costumes for us both. Any ideas??

Seriously though, I love fall and I don't know many people who disagree.
The clothes, the colors, the air, the trees.
I had a friend tell me once that fall is the season where you're supposed to shed the old & prepare for a new you. That's what fall is. The plants and some animals start to fade away for a little while, only to come back just as lovely and vibrantly as ever.

The past year has been insane for me. On Halloween, it will have been one year ago that I found out I was pregnant. I can't help but feel a little bit nostalgic about this year. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about the day Indigo was born. We share a room, and sometimes a bed. Every morning when I wake up and see her I enter some sort of dreamy fog remembering the exact moment she was born. I love reliving that day. I'm so sentimental towards that moment, as every mom is, I'm sure. This time last year, I was a different person. I thought only of the present and rarely of the future. I'm so happy where I am today. I have different friends, no job, and a different idea of "living life," but it's different in a good way. Like when you get promoted, or you graduate, or something like that, ya know? I don't know really...I've just been overwhelmed with how happy I am. Even though I sit at home a lot of days just watching Indigo (yet, somehow I still feel really busy), I'm so happy. There are a lot of people who have babies, and I wonder if they're like me-totally infatuated with their child. On T.V. you always see couples itching to get out and away from their kids, which I do know that day will come soon enough (hello toddler years). Honestly, right now, leaving Indigo for more than an hour or two is absolutely terrible. When I have to go to school, she's all I think about. I'm one of those annoying people who puts pictures of their kids on the background of their computers just so I can stare at it while I'm away (hoping someone will ask me about her). Comical, huh? Nineteen years old and totally and completely in love with my child and unwilling to leave her for more than an hour or two. They're only this little for a few months. Hard to believe she was only 5 lbs 11oz almost three months ago.

Well, this post was a bit sappier than anticipated, it all just kind of came out though-Just so overwhelmed with joy (you'd laugh if you could see me, starring intently into the computer typing all of this as if my life depended on it).

ANYWAYS!
Here are a few links to some autumn lovin'
