Forgive Me, Kip

First and foremost, I would like to apologize to Kip, to whom I have neglected for too long.
There is no excuse for neglecting you as I did, and I will try to make it up to you as best I can by posting an obnoxiously high amount of entries each month. YOU HAVE MY WORD KIP....

To the rest of you, have no worries, my love of thrift stores, rabbits, and Volvo's did not subside during the time in which I did not blog. My hobby had been put to a screeching halt as I focused (used loosely) on school, work, and a little time for myself. Now that the new year has begun, it's obvious that my life, and Kip's, can no longer be focused solely on decorating rooms with old, beautiful things. My life now revolves around the one that I've created. My life will now be completely and totally about my child's.

Viewers and devoted readers, look forward to my unreasonably mom-ish posts as I will oooh and ahhh about the beauty of having a child and balance it with shopping excursions to stores amidst ghettos. I will try as hard as I possibly can to express my love for vintage things to my child and hope that he/she will share the joy that I have (but, as anyone knows children rarely enjoy what their parents love).

(this was at 5 weeks...i think)

(this one was taken at 6w 3d)

My little gummy bear will be arriving around July 15 of this year, and I've never been more anxious/nervous/excited/i have no clue what i feel in my life. I'm about 14 weeks pregnant and highly anticipating to find out if my baby is a little blue gummy bear or a pink one. I should be finding out around Valentine's Day.

Not only has my life, body, and mind changed, but so has the color of my walls. I figured since I'm going to be welcoming an innocent child, I shouldn't harm his or her eyes with the harsh fluorescent green of the walls. My walls may be more mommy looking, but unfortunately I look basically the same.

My room is no where near competed and I still need to get a crib. So the rest of the room probably won't be seen for a good while...however one thing I've been sure to stock up on is children's books! I have to make sure my little tyke enjoys reading just as much as I do, maybe even more.

So my lovely readers, thank you for not giving up on my posting! Fear not for I will post obsessively, now. Stay tuned to find out whether pink or blue is in my future!
