Calm Before the Storm

I like rainy days, sometimes. They're peaceful and encourage me to sit around and do very little hard work. It didn't really storm today, just rained a lot.

I went to the doctor hoping that they would tell me "OH my, well looky here, you're about one day away from having your baby" but of course that didn't happen. Instead I was informed that my new weight was ONE HUNDRED FORTY ONE POUNDS and to come again next week, like always. I shook my head, the nurse laughed. OH THE WOES. The student nurse person that was in there observing told me I looked like I was about to bust open....I really hope that's not how it happens.

Check me out at 36 weeks 5 days

Going along with what seems to be my consistent theme of things pertaining to rain, I can't help but get a little happy every time I see my pretty little diapers all neatly stacked in their containers on my Window seat--Prepped and ready to go.

Is it weird that my new favorite part of my room is the diaper changing area? I have a feeling that will change after a while, but for now it's just so darn cute. So far I have about 24ish All-in-ones and 20ish prefolds (with 24 more on the way). I think I'm set on the diapers (for now).

I'm absolutely thrilled, one of my friends, who was originally due next week, is being induced as we speak! Her baby grew faster than anticipated, so send positive thoughts her way for everything to go smoothly! Can't wait to meet her baby girl--Indigo's first gal pal.

Take a peek at a few of my maternity pictures that were so kindly taken by my new friend Kenny. If you're looking for a photographer for any reason, send me an e-mail or comment and I'd be happy to contact Kenny for you!

Also, take a look at my new tabs at the top of my blog.
I'll be working on them some more as time goes on and I actually have things to divide into those areas.
Sometimes, I feel like I'm talking to myself on here, people (and I know I'm not because I can see how many views I get). Don't be shy, comment, even if you don't have a blog account, or anything useful to say, you can still comment.

Ah, well,
I keep getting hopeful that each of my posts are the last post before Indigo...oh optimism.

I guess that's all for now, folks.
Happy days!

  2. So glad you like the bunny onesie! Great pictures. Pregnancy is such a special time. I hope you enjoy your last few days! Will be praying for you and for a fast and easy delivery. My mantra was, "like a frozen turkey across an ice rink." Worked for me, maybe it will for you as well!

  5. I love following your blog too. You are so beautiful in these pictures. We're very excited for little Indigo to get here.

I also love your new tabs. How did you do them??? I use a shabby blogs template through blogger too, but I haven't been able to get cute tabs to work yet. :-(

  6. Man, this is terrible there's no "reply" button on the comments.

@Lisa, I had a hard time figuring out how to make tabs too! Most of the time you just have to go change the template around.

@Jane, thanks! I'm jealous of your traveling, if only, if only.

  8. I love the diaper changing area. I am due in October and it feels so far away. I happen to be doing my lil' girls crib in a rainbow rain cloud type of theme. She'll be sharing with one of her big sisters so it's not the whole room, just her little nook of it. Hope your time comes soon. It will change your life forever in the best way possible.
