Christmas Pictures

Indigo's first Christmas was a roaring success! She was relatively fussy most on Christmas Eve and on Christmas day. I don't know what it is, but she'll be perfectly happy at home playing in her Johnny Jumpy (Jumpee?) but once we go somewhere she instantly morphs into unhappy baby. Oh well. Babies will be babies.

Magnifying glass
Indigo's favorite part of Christmas Eve (ahhh, I love that little hat, my Aunt made it for her)

Indie and Uncle Bennett giggling about Christmas things.
I've heard mixed reviews about "Sophie the Giraffe," but I love it and so does baby.

I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas! I know we did. I'm sad it's over though. It didn't last nearly long enough.

Christmas Shindig

I finally had a Christmas party.
I've never had one before, I think I'm going to make it a new holiday tradition.
So, um, CHRISTMAS IS IN FOUR DAYS, GUYS.
I mean holy smokes. This year literally went by so fast. It kind of blows my mind.

Anyways, enough cliche mom phrases....

A few pictures from the party (most of these are taken by Karla, but I took some as well).

Our lovely table of food (I got to keep leftovers, nom nom).
My brother and I made these ornaments many moons ago. I like to call that my "little lad who loves berries and cream" hair cut (don't get it? click here).

Of course we had to have the all-necessary prop assisted holiday pictures (download the photo props here).

Patrick won this in dirty Santa...he was thrilled. Literally, thrilled.
This was the prize of the game.

Indigo is sporting her holiday attire and pudgey baby limbs.

It was fun. Hoorah! for making new traditions with my sweet baby girl!
Also, I've been crocheting my fingers off lately. I always wait until the last minute for everything.
Oy vey.

What I did this Weekend

Check out my sponsors over to the left! I'm so excited about all of them. Hopefully I'll have some guest posts coming soon!

In the meantime, enjoy this adorable series of pictures:

CHUCKLE CHUCKLE CHUCKLE
Oh, you were taking a picture?
well that's awkward.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
Ah, thank goodness it's Thanksgiving week.

What I did this Weekend

My lovely friends were in town this weekend! Indigo got to see her Aunty Karla and Aunty Hollie. We spent like four hours in Starbucks just talking. That picture above makes me giggle, Karla's caption: "you can tell which on of us is the mother...."

I'm pretty sure this is the only time we've ever gotten together and Hollie hasn't 'mussied' Indie's hair.

I bought Indigo a Christmas dress & these lovely shoes.

----
This week is going to be a great week; next week is going to be even better! Carver comes home!!!! YAYYAYAYAYAYAY.

I'm trying to think of more interesting posts for you all, I've been brainstorming. With the holidays coming up, I should be able to think of some do-it-yourself projects to post about. I've also been meaning to do more 'what I wear' posts I just never think to take pictures of myself, for some reason. Any suggestions on things you'd like to see me post about? I would love some ideas!

ALSO
Karla, Hollie and I have been enjoying some 90's music.
So, in lieu of Christmas time...

Hope you all have a happy week,
you'll hear more from me tomorrow :)

What I Did This Weekend

Say Happy Birthday to my Dad!

It was a big birthday for him this year.
Big birthday for Big Poppy (that's his grandfather name).
I'm always stumped when it comes to giving any guy, even my dad or brother, a birthday present.
However, I know my dad's interests pretty well, so I made him these cute little golf cupcakes!

Other things I did this weekend:

-Recuperate from an extremely long week of work, mommyhood, and school

-Diaper laundry (any advice for getting amonia smell out of Bumgenius diapers? we have really hard water that hates me and makes the diapers smell scary)

-Listen to lots of Peter, Bjorn, and John (especially this song)

-Have a delicious chocolate milkshakes

-Try shrimp for the first time (it scares me that they have tails!)

-Make a ring sling for one of my new mommy friends

-Not care about football

-Pin an absurd amount of pins on pinterest

-Text Carver 24/7

-Continued making Christmas lists for Indigo, Carver, and I

-Conclude that Indigo is, in fact, teething

Ring sling that I made for Jessica

What did you all do this weekend?
Any advice for the diapers? I've tried everything, putting them in the sun, vinegar, stripping them? OH THE WOES.

Hope you all had a nice weekend!
