Resolution Post

I hope everyone had a classy New Years! Carver and I sure did with our sparkling grape juice (ON SALE FOR $1.98!!! SCORE). It really was a sweet night. We watched the ball drop in New York, made fun of Justin Beiber's coat (I mean really, did he buy that in the women's section at forever 21?), laughed our bootays off at LMFAO's performance and fans, and we were mildly impressed by Will.I.am's performance (it was pretty cool, if you haven't seen it, you should try to find it, because I can't). Indigo woke up exactly at 12:05, we kissed her on the head and told her happy new years. I wouldn't have had that night be any other way. I'm so blessed. I'm so lucky. I'm so classy (refer to picture above).

Those of you who know me know that I'm kind of obsessed with rabbits. =.
AND OF COURSE, 2011 was the year of the rabbit.
It's hilarious how excited I was about Indigo being born in the year of the bun buns...
Anyways, out with the glorious rabbit year and into the year of the Dragon...(I'm not too fond of those bad boys--I prefer unicorns).

I can't wait to see what happens this year. I KNOW IT'S GOING TO BE AWESOME.

Some things I'd like to see happen this year (in other words, my kind of resolutions):

*Start an Etsy shop with Karla. Selling crocheted lovelies, handmade awesomeness, and other goodies.

*Workout (cliche I know). I'm happy to report that I did 25 minutes of P90X today (LOLOLOL)

*Blog at least three times a week (already failing)

*Make myself presentable everyday and change out of my PJ's, even if I stay home all day long. (Again, already failing).

*Finish what I start. HOLY SMOKES, I'm the worst about starting 4324 projects at one time and never finishing).

*Sew a dress for myself. (I got a sewing machine for Christmas. MUST PUT TO GOOD USE.)

*Figure out what career path I'd like to go down. Graphic design? Web design? IDK REALLY

*Be a really awesome Mom who doesn't spend all of her time on the computer. I spend way too much time on le interweb. I need to spend time with baby more often, she's growing so fast.

Did you guys set any awesome resolutions? Any memorable New Year's moments?
HAPPY 2012 GUYSSSSSSSSSS!

Christmas Pictures

Indigo's first Christmas was a roaring success! She was relatively fussy most on Christmas Eve and on Christmas day. I don't know what it is, but she'll be perfectly happy at home playing in her Johnny Jumpy (Jumpee?) but once we go somewhere she instantly morphs into unhappy baby. Oh well. Babies will be babies.

Magnifying glass
Indigo's favorite part of Christmas Eve (ahhh, I love that little hat, my Aunt made it for her)

Indie and Uncle Bennett giggling about Christmas things.
I've heard mixed reviews about "Sophie the Giraffe," but I love it and so does baby.

I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas! I know we did. I'm sad it's over though. It didn't last nearly long enough.

Time for Christmas

We have a really big extended family...
oh man, chicken casserole is sewww geeeewwdddd.
I remember when I hated casserole. WHAT WAS I THINKING?

Good first Thanksgiving for my sweet Indigo.
Below is a picture of FIVE generations! My Mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. WOWZA.

I'm not really tall, I'm wearing platform wedges...

I hope you all had a lovely holiday weekend!
Sorry for my lack of posting this week. I've been taking a bit of time off from the computer and spending time with Carver, but now he's back at school  (hooray for him being back in three weeks though).

SO NOW THAT THANKSGIVING IS OVER.
WOOP WOOP.
CHRISTMAS.

I've already been to one Christmas party and got Indigo's picture taken with Santa. WOOT WOOT CHRISTMAS. I can't stop saying how excited I am for Christmas. Hot chocolate (although, I've come to figure out that Indigo has a bad reaction when I drink milk), cozy socks, crafts, Hallmark Movies, and EVERYTHING ELSE THAT'S AWESOME. I've been listening to Christmas music non-stop.

What are you all doing to get in the Christmas spirit?

Oh, how I love Christmas.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
Ah, thank goodness it's Thanksgiving week.

What I did this Weekend

My lovely friends were in town this weekend! Indigo got to see her Aunty Karla and Aunty Hollie. We spent like four hours in Starbucks just talking. That picture above makes me giggle, Karla's caption: "you can tell which on of us is the mother...."

I'm pretty sure this is the only time we've ever gotten together and Hollie hasn't 'mussied' Indie's hair.

I bought Indigo a Christmas dress & these lovely shoes.

----
This week is going to be a great week; next week is going to be even better! Carver comes home!!!! YAYYAYAYAYAYAY.

I'm trying to think of more interesting posts for you all, I've been brainstorming. With the holidays coming up, I should be able to think of some do-it-yourself projects to post about. I've also been meaning to do more 'what I wear' posts I just never think to take pictures of myself, for some reason. Any suggestions on things you'd like to see me post about? I would love some ideas!

ALSO
Karla, Hollie and I have been enjoying some 90's music.
So, in lieu of Christmas time...

Hope you all have a happy week,
you'll hear more from me tomorrow :)

My little Pumpkin is Four Months Old!

Even though Indigo couldn't really enjoy it, we went to a local farm and had a cotton pickin' pumpkin pickin' good time. We had our friends Aubrey and her baby (that's exactly a week older than Indie) go with us.

I was so mesmerized by this adorable pumpkin wall. I want one in my house all year long.

Aubrey and baby Kayleigh (I love this picture!) on the hay ride.
We also met up with another one of my friends, Lindsey (the one I had the rainbow baby shower for).

Sweet little Zane.

It was pretty chilly, Indigo slept in the sling for a pretty long time. So cozy in there I suppose.

The hayride was enjoyable! Indigo probably could have cared less (picture brought to you by the kind stranger across from us).

We were there for hours! It was kind of ridiculous seeing as how the girls really couldn't enjoy it as much as we wish they could.

While Indigo slept, I held a bunny and got excited about the rest of the livestock. (Can't stop giggling at my stupid facial expression).

So, as the title of this post states, Indigo is four months old!!! That's a quarter of a year. WOWZA
She probably weighs as much as this pumpkin.

I went really picture happy with this post! Hope you guys don't mind! I'm excited about celebrating Halloween tomorrow and Monday! It's going to be fun.

Happy Halloween!

Stepping Out Saturday {3}

Headscarf: vintage
shirt: target
shorts: wal-mart (!!)
sweater: ?
shoes: target

 Dress: consigned (Old Navy)

---------------------

We always have such a fun time with Auntie Karla & Auntie Hollie. The whole week it was all Indigo talked about. They're off at college, so it's a treat to see them.

I love my friends.
We laugh so much.

I'm so excited because I'm going to see them again next weekend (more on that later)!

We had some man ask who Indigo's Mommy was (look at us, Ethnic ladiez).

"Mom's kissing me again."
-----------------------------------------------

So, Indie had her first fever. I think it was a cold because I wasn't feeling too snazzy at the beginning of the week. It's so sad, helpless little baby. Man, oh man, does she hate that blue suction thing (she's become all too familiar with it).

She's starting to 'talk' all the time these days. She never coo's, but just kinda makes noises. My parents joke about how I should put a picture of my face in her crib, because she stares and smiles at me all the time. My brother will walk over and make tons of noise and she won't even acknowledge him.

I've got to start packing other clothes for her in her diaper bag. Today, at church, she spit up all over her navy dress and it looked terrible, so I took it off. She was wearing a white shirt and a blue cloth diaper. She looked like a boy. I put a bow on her...but still....

We've got a big shopping trip planned for this weekend! I'll report back and let you all know how it went.

-----
Happy Week everybody!
One of my favorite bloggers finally had her baby.
Go look how adorable her daughter, Glow, is here.
